Rumours swirl as country star Carrie Underwood appears onstage with Guns N' Roses in Atlanta
Country singer Carrie Underwood did an unexpected cover of Limp Bizkit's "Break Stuff" on stage at the Velocity Music Fest on September 5.
Are you the next in line to get fucked up by Carrie Underwood’s rap-rockin’ sound? The American Idol veteran went full Durst over the weekend, brandishing a backwards red baseball cap in-concert while bursting through Limp Bizkit’s “Break Stuff,” along with a couple of other nu-metal hits. Underwood’s show at Dyersville, Iowa’s Field of Dreams last Saturday night (September 5th) was part of the Velocity Festival. She showed up a day early to the grounds to catch Shinedown, reporting so in an Instagram post wherein she mentioned she just got a “cool hat” and felt “inspired to try some new stuff in our set tomorrow.” The set was naturally heavy with content from the country singer’s solo catalogue. That said, Underwood has long shown her love to the rock community with a series of on-stage covers of Papa Roach, and more. She once again brought her run-through of “Last Resort” to the setlist, and also tackled Linkin Park’s “One Step Closer.” Then she closed out a nu-metal trifecta by rocking “Break Stuff” with the hat on. She explained ahead of time, though, that she’d be giving the latter the “clean version” treatment. “I love aggressive angry music. I also love Jesus so I don’t say the potty words,” Underwood told the crowd. “And this next song has a lot of potty words okay. But we’re not gonna say them. We’re not gonna say them. I need you to promise.” You’ll find Underwood revvin’ that chainsaw via the fan-shot footage down below. The night also saw her covering Collective Soul’s “Shine” and Guns ‘N Roses’ “Sweet Child O’ Mine.” View this post on Instagram View this post on Instagram View this post on Instagram
She took to cover a number of artists at last night's 'Velocity Festival'.
