June has a lot of birthdays, so see which rockers are blowing out the candles for this month.
Heavy electronic band Sol Invicto have released a new single called "Clarity," featuring Deftones cofounder and guitarist Stephen Carpenter.
Shocker.
Part of a new series of tracks in collaboration with Technical Itch.
Sol Invicto — the long-running supergroup featuring Deftones Stephen Carpenter, Cypress Hill s Eric Bobo and producer-guitarist Richie Londres — have kicked off a new collaboration series with British drum bass artist Technical Itch. The first entry is a crushing single called Clarity, and true to its title, it offers clear insight into the project s mission. Full of frenetic jungle backbeats, oppressive electronic textures and Carpenter s nasty detuned riffage, the song is described as a dark industrial drum bass metal hybrid and an aggressive, low-end driven beast, and it more than lives up that billing. Clarity is streaming now exclusively Bandcamp, with a release on physical formats promised soon. Stay tuned for that drop, plus future new music. Just ahead of the release of Ecca Vandal’s LOOKING FOR PEOPLE TO UNFOLLOW!, the Australia-based art-punk artist boomed onto the set of Jimmy Kimmel Live! to deliver a live version of her gum-soled “CRUISING TO SELF SOOTHE”. For her late night television debut, Vandal and her band grooved into the pop-core song, which was initially released at the beginning of 2025. Vandal twisted, screamed and sung in front of the studio audience, sometimes throwing a foot on the speaker risers. You’ll find the Deftones-favorited vocalist leaning into big, raspy yells for the performance via the player above. As previously reported, LOOKING FOR PEOPLE TO UNFOLLOW! is out tomorrow (May 22nd) via Loma Vista Recordings. Along with “CRUISING TO SELF SOOTHE,” the album features previously delivered singles “BLEACH,” “MOLLY,” “BLEED BUT NEVER DIE,” “THEN THERE’S ONE,” and “SORRY! CRASH!” You can order CD and black vinyl copies of LOOKING FOR PEOPLE TO UNFOLLOW! in Revolver’s shop. Next up for Ecca Vandal are a series of international fest dates, including a stop at Chicago, Illinois’ Lollapalooza event on July 30th and a set at Montreal, Quebec’s Osheaga fest the next day. You’ll find more info on those appearances over here.
On August 14th 2026, Ohio death doomsters Abyssal Rift will unleash their second full-length instalment dubbed Relics Of Great Ash. Via Bandcamp widget below you can check out in advance two new songs.
Nu metal was considered dead by 2005 – but a ragtag band from Australia ensured that the genre would bow out in a blaze of glory
The Deftones frontman fell during the band's recent performance of "Hole In The Earth." He's OK – just took the song a little too literally.
The hole thing was caught on film.
