Hear ROB HALFORD sing “Balls to the Wall” with ACCEPTGerman metal vets Accept are breaking the chains of bondage with the help of their friends. For the latest preview of Teutonic Titans 1976-2026, a collection of re-recorded heavy hits, they tapped Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford, Scorpions guitarist Matthias Jabs and Pantera bassist Rex Brown to assist with eternal metal anthem “Balls to the Wall.” As previously reported, the new album was put together by longtime Accept guitarist Wolf Hoffmann and current vocalist Mark Tornillo. The latest version of “Balls to the Wall,” originally from Accept’s 1983 album of the same name, plays it reasonably close to the original. That said, we’ve now got Halford handling the world-weary, revolution-anticipating first verse, before Tornillo takes a turn at the mic. Rob is the Metal God. I don t need to say any more about him. Once we knew that he would do it, it was an obvious choice to give him ‘Balls to the Wall because it s the best fit imaginable,” Hoffman expresses in a statement. He adds: “I played all the rhythm guitars. Matthias Jabs from Scorpions played the solo, which is very cool and a huge honor, and it s Rex Brown on bass and Jason Bowld (Bullet for My Valentine) on drums. So that s a really cool package.” You can slam the latest version of “Balls to the Wall” up above. Earlier this year, Accept unveiled an updated version of “Fast as a Shark” that featured vocals from Pantera’s Philip Anselmo and a guitar solo from Metallica’s Kirk Hammett. Teutonic Titans 1976-2026 is out September 4th via Napalm Records. The album also features guest spots from Overkill vocalist Bobby Blitz, professional wrestler and Fozzy singer Chris Jericho, Haunted guitarist Ola Englund, Nevermore’s Jeff Loomis and many more.
