SAOSIN celebrate self-titled LP with 20th anniversary tour

Though Saosin recently delivered their first single in 10 years, the post-hardcore outfit will next celebrate their early days on an upcoming 20th anniversary tour behind their 2006 self-titled debut album. The band announced the trip today (May 12th), confirming that a 28-show headline tour — which follows a handful of fall festival appearances — will find Saosin supporting their gold-selling 2006 effort, which featured singles “Voices,” “Bury Your Head,” and “You’re Not Alone.” The dates will all feature support from Silent Planet, Like Moths to Flames and Save Us. It’s as yet unclear whether Saosin will be playing the album in full. “We had no idea the impact it would have on so many people s lives and the genre,” guitarist Beau Burchell said in a statement. “Getting to revisit it 20 years later, with that appreciation and perspective, gives us a new invigorated energy that we are so excited to bring to the stage.” He adds: “There’s a different weight to these songs when you’ve lived with them for two decades. Not only for us, but for all the fans who have shared their stories with us over the years. The connection people have to these songs is unreal, so the opportunity to share and celebrate our self-titled record across the U.S. in a live setting is something very important to us.” Vocalist Cove Reber, who rejoined Saosin in 2023 following a long hiatus from the project, adds that the debut album “defined a major chapter” of his life, “as well as the lives of so many others.” “I grew up through these songs, the shows, and the touring we did together,” he said. “Celebrating this record now is not only about honoring the fans who grew up alongside us, but also the new fans who are growing up with us today. We’ve come to understand what that musical era of our lives truly meant, and I’m excited to bring it back to the stage with a renewed sense of energy and excitement.” Date info for all of Saosin’s upcoming North American tour dates is down below. As previously reported, the group delivered their “Starting Over Again” last month. It’s the band’s first single with guitarist Phil Sgrosso, and likewise their debut track for new label home Sumerian Records. Saosin’s last album was 2016’s Along the Shadow.
