Is this it? Faith No More popped back onto their socials to tease something today (June 16th), with a reunion of some kind seemingly on the horizon for 2027. A decade on from Faith No More’s most recent concert performances, following years of speculation over whether they’d ever get back on stage together, and a few years on from a canceled reunion tour, the prospect of FNM s return once again seems like it s the real thing. Earlier today (June 16th), Faith No More gave the faithful something to look forward to, via an Instagram post simply presenting a photograph of a concert audience, the band’s famous eight-pointed star logo, and a timeline: “2027.” No other info has been delivered, but fans have been speculating wildly in the comments about next year’s apparent FNM reemergence. What s more, Pollstar reports that the group recently signed a long-term deal with South American concert promoters 30e, which certainly suggests that live dates are on the way. It d be a long-time coming, as Faith No More’s last live performance took place in the summer of 2016 at Los Angeles, California’s Troubadour venue, during the push behind the previous year’s Sol Invictus reunion LP. In the years since, vocalist Mike Patton has been involved in other projects including Dead Cross and the Mr. Bungle reunion. A FNM tour had been scheduled to take place between 2021 and 2022, but Patton had pulled out of the trip, citing mental health reasons. While the finer points have yet to be detailed, this is obviously great news for Faith No More fans — including Revolver readers, who have been aggressively lobbying for their return for years.
