Sleep Theory have a thing for turn-of-the-century boy bands, we’ve known this since the band started posting vids of themselves harmonizing Backstreet Boys songs. Today (June 18th), they’re bringing their *NSYNC stanning into the limelight with a rock-heavy revamp of that group’s “Bye Bye Bye.” The new cover is a reasonably faithful take on the chart-smashing No Strings Attached single, though Sleep Theory surge triplet-chugged and double-kicked metal moments into the pop song. Vocalist Cullen Moore shares the mic with his bandmates as they adopt the *NSYNC harmonic dynamic. Moore, naturally, takes the lead as the Justin Timberlake stand-in, while bassist Paolo Vergara hits the mic like JC Chasez.
