A Perfect Circle have shared another new single, To Whom It May Concern, and Billy Howerdel has teased that there's more music to come..,
To whom it may concern: magnetic alt-rock favorites A Perfect Circle are back with a new single, which heralds a 2027 North American tour featuring another of vocalist Maynard James Keenan’s projects, Puscifer. Dubbed “To Whom It May Concern,” the tune dropped earlier today (September 29th), and it follows A Perfect Circle’s “Starless” single from earlier in the year. Notably, it also arrives just as the latter topped rock radio charts. The new song is fall-ready and kinda gothic, existing through cathartically rumbling rhythms and interlocking, blue-star-shimmering guitar lines. Keenan speaks out the intro, its conceit finding him writing a letter to “share some thoughts.” A fragile vibrato then communicates deep existential ache (“I woke up sore again today/My heart, my gut, my soul/All over”). “To Whom It May Concern” was written earlier in 2026, and was recorded at guitarist Billy Howerdel’s Lankershim Ranch Studio in Studio City, California. As with “Starless,” he produced the song with Matty Green (U2, Florence + the Machine, TV on the Radio) and it features longtime collaborator Josh Freese on drums. You’ll find the accompanying music video, full of psychedelic projections and scores of flapping bats, up above. “It’s exciting to finally get some new music out into the world, and seeing ‘Starless’ reach No. 1 at rock radio this week has made it even sweeter,” Howerdel expressed in a statement, adding that there is “more [music] to come.” As for the tour, A Perfect Circle launch their next headlining North American run April 13th at Vancouver, BC’s Douglas Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre. Puscifer will appear at all six Canadian shows, as well as the April 25th stop at Detroit, Michigan’s Fox Theatre. U.K. rock vets the Cult then support APC for the next seven weeks of the tour. It caps June 13th at the Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre in Phoenix, Arizona. “Very much looking forward to pulling double duty through Canada with A Perfect Circle and Puscifer,” Keenan continued, adding that the tour will feature “new tunes, new dance moves, new hair hats.” Pre-sales for the shows begin tomorrow (September 30th) at 10 a.m. local time, while the general on-sale is this Friday (October 2nd) at 10 a.m. You’ll find the updated tour route, including APC and Puscifer’s international appearances together later this fall, below. As previously reported, “Starless” is also available now as an exclusive, one-sided 7-inch on “Transparent Black with White Splatter” vinyl (limited to 1,000 copies).
