After building up steam this year through a series of dark-edged, melodic rock singles, vocalist-drummer Kami Kehoe has finally announced her next album. Her LOVE IS A WEAPON is out later this summer, but you can test-drive some more music right now via the release of her latest single, “THE END”. The song is described by Kehoe in a press release as having been “inspired by a ride or die type of relationship.” It begins with low-drone synth tones and a subtle, yet auto-tuned set of lines on “slow drives” and “bad times.” The song then cascades back-and-forth between minimalist snap beats, detuned pop hooks and heavy distortion. “I wrote this when I was with someone who was with me, before I became successful and was willing to stay until the end, no matter how difficult things got,” Kehoe says in a statement. “I wanted the song feel like a promise. That I would do everything I said once I had everything to give them.” A visualizer naturally finds Kehoe undertaking a night time drive. You can check it out up above. As for the album, LOVE IS A WEAPON is further described as a release that explores “the duality of love as both a source of empowerment and destruction.” “Every song comes from a real place in my life, but I hope people hear their own stories in it too,” Kehoe explains. “Throughout this album, I wanted to use my experiences, good or bad, and turn them into something beautiful. I truly believe our hearts are the most powerful weapon we have, and it’s up to us how we choose to use it but at the end of the day love always wins. I hope this album reminds everyone that they aren’t alone, and I hope it inspires them to choose love at the end no matter what.” The 15-song LP follows Kehoe’s breakthrough KANDY EP from 2025, and it includes her “DIRTY,” “HEARTLESS” and “PSYCHO” singles from earlier this year. The album is out August 28th via Atlantic Records. An exclusive vinyl pressing on black, white and blue splatter vinyl (limited to 500 copies) is up for pre-order now in Revolver’s shop. That’d be the cover art and tracklisting down below. As previously reported, Kehoe is heading out on tour later this year with Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle and Starset. The first show September 2nd at Camden, New Jersey’s Freedom Mortgage Pavilion. You’ll find the full date breakdown here. After dealing with a “PSYCHO” in her last nu-grooving single, Kami Kehoe is making a splash with a dark new dance song, “DIRTY”. The new track is Kehoe’s fourth single of the year. While those other offerings included a visceral reworking of Kings of Leon’s “Sex on Fire” and the aforementioned aggression of “PSYCHO,” “DIRTY” plays more like a turn-of-the-century, pop-and-R B-flirting club banger. Full of pulsing bass production and nocturnal swells, it finds Kehoe’s subtle mic work weighing in on messy relationships, tainted love and feeling “dangerous.” Then, in its closing moments, the song ratchets up the filthiness with a final burst of fuzz-corroded, harmonic tension. A press release calls the tune a “a raw, sensual reckoning,” while the music video finds Kehoe encircled by a group of women “whose hypnotic movements and intimate touch blur the line between seduction and control.” By song s end, everyone s covered in a symbolically mysterious onyx goo. “I know you guys like it ‘DIRTY,’” Kehoe says in a statement, adding, “Happy Pride Month, this one s for you.” As previously reported, Kehoe is set to go on tour with Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle and Starset this September. Those tour details can be found here.

Something wicked this way comes — and it turns out it’s the latest single from Breaking Benjamin. While details remain pending on the next full-length release from Breaking Benjamin, the long-running hard-rockers have unleashed another preview, which they call “Something Wicked.” The track is their first in two years, following 2024’s “Awaken,” and they premiered the song live at last weekend s Welcome to Rockville festival. The new tune begins with dramatic synth-phonics before barreling into a deep-and-beefy modern rock arrangement of down-tuned gravitas and chromatic riffiness. Vocalist-guitarist Benjamin Burley weighs in on a relationship’s heaven-and-hell-like dynamic, and an impending force with “eyes like a ravenous monster.” He brings a beastly growl through the parabolic breakdown “‘Something Wicked’ is a quick look into our influences both musically and thematically,” the group say in a joint statement. “We challenged ourselves especially hard on this record and on this song. We pushed every boundary we’ve previously had as far as it will go, then pushed a little more. ‘Something Wicked’ was the result.” While formal news has yet to arrive behind Breaking Benjamin’s next LP, which will be their first original LP since 2018’s Ember, the band tease that something is in the works. In the meantime, the band will be appearing later this this week at the Sonic Temple festival in Columbus, Ohio, and have also been booked for next year’s Creed cruise.
