The powers that be have kept German EDM-metal maniacs Electric Callboy and veteran Cali punks the Offspring separated for far too long. Fortunately for us, the bands have now joined forces for a new collaborative jammer called “Let the Good Time Roll.” The new single is the latest to arrive behind the Callboys’ forthcoming TANZNEID album, and it finds the Teutonic elevator operators twisting through elements of crunched-up guitar heaviness, pop-forward hooks and stylized glowstick electronics. Add to this, the Offspring’s Dexter Holland hops on the cut with his signature tenor to further lift up the arrangement. The Offspring have been one of the bands that shaped us from the very beginning,” the members of Electric Callboy explain in a joint statement. “Their music was part of our lives long before Electric Callboy even existed, so having Dexter on this song honestly feels surreal. The pink boxes that pop up in the Let The Good Times Roll” will also be showing up at festivals and unexpected locations around the world, and those will apparently house clues about upcoming Callboy appearances.
