Back in May, Five Finger Death Punch unleashed “Eye of the Storm,” their first single behind an impending full-length. Today (June 26th), the Vegas metal vets finally unveiled the details of said album and dropped another new song, De Oppresso Liber. The LP — FFDP s 10th overall — is titled Legacy, and in many ways, it s a celebration of the band s 20th anniversary. Every album is a snapshot of who we were at that particular moment in time, and Legacy is exactly what the title suggests, guitarist and mixed martial artist Zoltan Bathory commented. It s a reflection on the journey, the lessons, the victories, the struggles, and everything we ve experienced over the last two decades. He added: What makes that journey meaningful is that we didn t make it alone. We traveled this road alongside millions of fans around the world and somehow became part of each other s lives. That s an incredible thing to reflect on 20 years later. Legacy is set for digital release on July 31st, with physical editions following on September 18th. Those physical editions include a Revolver-exclusive orange vinyl variant, limited to 300. Order yours here. In addition to dropping the new album, FFDP will hit the road this summer on a big 20th anniversary tour, joined by outlaw country artist Cody Jinks, as well as rock act Eva Under Fire.
