Poppy is popping off hard with members of Knocked Loose and House of Protection in the new video for “Dying to Forget,” a red-eyed raging metalcore explosion from the artist’s recent Empty Hands album. The new video had been teased earlier in the month through a photo of Poppy posing in a warehouse alongside Knocked Loose guitarist Isaac Hale and House of Protection’s Stephen Harrison (both musicians have co-writing credits on the song), as well as masked members of Poppy’s band. Today (June 17th), the video arrived in full, finding Poppy stalking an industrial locale full of heavy music fans heaving themselves around to the d-beated, viciously screamed, and sometimes sung “Dying to Forget.” Additionally, there are a few transformative scenes of Poppy resting in a giant egg, and then punching her way through a bunch of surrounding eggshells. You can peep the cracking new video up above. As previously reported, Poppy’s forthcoming “Constantly Nowhere” tour begins July 7th at Washington, DC’s Echostage.
