Converge’s prolific 2026 continues. After releasing not one but two aural juggernauts this year — February’s Love is Not Enough (their first proper album in nine years) and this month’s Hum of Hurt — and mounting a U.S. tour with Poison the Well, the metalcore veterans have now announced the second edition of their heavy music fest, Saddest Day. The 2026 edition will once again take place at the Roadrunner in Boston, Massachusetts, and rolls out as a two-day event from December 12th-13th. The band are promising no barricade and no overlapping sets. Converge play both nights, with a special set celebrating Jane Doe’s 25th anniversary occurring on the Sunday. Saturday’s lineup also includes Cave In, Emma Ruth Rundle, Pig Pen (the hardcore band fronted by celebrity chef and The Bear actor/producer Matty Matheson), Deaf Club, Final Gasp, and special guests to be announced. Sunday’s lineup also has Chat Pile, Baroness, Agriculture, Reversal of Man, Habak, and Fuming Mouth.
