And Alissa White-Gluz will be front and center.
Following Alissa White-Gluz’s live debut with power-metal icons DragonForce earlier in the month, the band’s latest line-up has now revealed plans to support 2006’s Inhuman Rampage with a full-on 20th anniversary tour. As previously reported, former Arch Enemy and current Blue Medusa vocalist White-Gluz was announced as DragonForce’s newest vocalist at the top of May, and she delivered a pair of sets with the band this month, at the Welcome to Rockville and Sonic Temple festivals. It had been noted at the time that the shows would mark the beginning of DragonForce’s 20th anniversary celebrations behind Inhuman Rampage. Today (May 26th), DragonForce announced that they’ll soon be launching a North American tour that will have the act playing Inhuman Rampage in full, while also delivering “other fan favorites and brand new songs.”“Twenty years is a long time to do anything, let alone survive the music industry and still be so inspired to continue doing what we love,” guitarist Herman Li says in a statement. “Together we will honor what made Inhuman Rampage matter, while showing people exactly where we’re going next.” “As a long-time fan of DragonForce, having seen them in concert multiple times over the last 20 years, I am beyond excited to be bringing such iconic music to life with these amazingly skilled musicians in such a fun and inspiring environment,” adds White-Gluz. “It feels great to showcase all the colors of my voice in technically challenging, deeply energizing, highly addictive songs. Creating and performing with musicians who deeply care about the music and concerts as much as I do is so refreshing.” The trip begins November 13th at San Diego, California’s Observatory North Park, heads out to the east coast, throws in a couple of Canadian dates and concludes December 13th at the Wiltern in Los Angeles, California. The supporting acts will be Ensiferum and Rhapsody of Fire.Presales begin at noon ET today, while the public on-sale goes live this Friday (May 29th) at 10 a.m. local. Get ready to feel the wrath of Arch Enemy and the Black Dahlia Murder. The two titans of industry have announced they’re teaming up for a North American tour this fall, and it’s going to get heavy. The death metal veterans’ joint “Wrath Across North America” tour was announced today (May 19th), and it launches October 5th at the Municipal Auditorium in Riverside, California. The tour heads east from there, then boomerangs back west for a series of Canadian dates before coming to a close November 16th at the Showbox Theater in Seattle, Washington. Joining the headliners throughout will be Grecian death-metal act Septicflesh, Brazilian trio Crypta and Thrown Into Exile. Notably, this will also be Arch Enemy’s first North American tour with their new vocalist, Lauren Hart — with whom they’d release their “To the Last Breath” single in February. A press release finds Arch Enemy guitarist Michael Amott calling this “an exceptional lineup, built for those who live and breathe pure fucking metal!” He added: “We look forward to bringing you a new era of Arch Enemy to a city near you.” “I’d take my arch enemy to see the Black Dahlia Murder and Arch Enemy then throw them in the pit,” adds Black Dahlia skinsman Alan Cassidy. Presales begin tomorrow (May 20th) at 10:00am local, while the general on-sale begins Friday (May 22nd) at 10:00am local. That’d be the tour schedule in full down below.
