Iconic heavy shoegaze faves Hum returned to the stage last night (May 15th) for the first time since 2019, while headlining the Brooklyn, New York edition of this year’s Slide Away fest. The performance took place during the first of two nights at the Brooklyn Paramount, and the sold-out event also featured opening sets from Nothing, Chapterhouse, loveliescrushing, Bleary Eyed and Frankie Rose. The 12-song headlining set marked Hum s first live appearance since they played Dia De Los Deftones in 2019, and likewise since the release of 2020’s Inlet. Most notably, it was also the first time they’d performed since the death of drummer Bryan St. Pere, who had been a member of Hum from 1990 up until his passing 2021.
