Metal News: Spiritbox Premiere New Single & Music Video 'Mourning'

Ahead of their European tour with Jinjer and Dying Wish, Spiritbox have released a new standalone single, titled "Mourning". Check out the music video below.

Their European/UK headlining tour launches this weekend.

Spiritbox have hardly been quiet since unleashing their acclaimed Tsunami Sea album last March, but today (September 7th) they offered up their first new single since that LP’s release in the form of the surprise song and music video “Mourning.” The last year has been a busy one for Courtney LaPlante and Co. between high-profile tours (with Korn and Evanescence, among others) and high-profile collabs (with Poppy and Amy Lee, BABYMETAL, ILLENIUM and more). Later this month, Spiritbox will kick off their highly anticipated fall UK and European tour with Jinjer and Dying Wish, a trek they’ve heralded with the debut of the melodic, hook-laden “Mourning.” The band announced the single earlier today with a teaser clip posted on social media, presented in the stark black-and-white aesthetic of the Tsunami Sea era. The “Mourning” music video, however, returns Spiritbox to full color, apparently launching the group into a new chapter with its own visual language. The group’s UK and European run launches September 12th in Glasgow — check out the full itinerary below.
