The Dillinger Escape Plan's reunion run with singer Dimitri Minikakis is coming to a close.
Calculations are nearly complete.
Dillinger Escape Plan’s second Infinity era is coming to a close, as the veteran mathcore technicians having just announced a final tour leg celebrating 1999 debut LP Calculating Infinity with original vocalist Dimitri Minakakis. Another round of reunion shows were announced today (June 16th), and the band confirmed that this October s handful of North American appearances will be “the final batch of Calculating Infinity performances.” It’s at-present unclear if that means the current line-up of Minakakis, Weinman, bassist Liam Wilson, guitarist James Love and drummer Billy Rymer are packing it in altogether, or just putting their focus off of Calculating Infinity. Regardless, the fall dates include three East Coast stops, beginning October 16th at the Philly Music Fest in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They’ve also got a Pacific Northwest trip later in the month, including a lone Canadian appearance at Vancouver, BC’s Commodore Ballroom on October 26th. They will close the latest Calculating era by appearing on Lamb of God’s next Headbangers Boat cruise, which heads from Miami, Florida to Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas, between October 30th and November 3rd — a veritable viking’s funeral. As previously announced, the reunion between Minakakis and founding guitarist Ben Weinman (also currently of Suicidal Tendencies) was first announced at the tail end of 2023, and formally launched with a handful of dates in June of 2024. Minakakis hadn’t sung with the band full-time since 2001. Notably, the reunion also marked DEP’s first shows since they’d gone on hiatus in 2017. Tickets for the newly announced headline shows go up for sale this Friday (June 19th) at 10 a.m. local time. You can peep all of DEP’s remaining dates through 2026 down below.
