Suicide Silence are back! Three-and-a-half years on from the deathcore titans’ last full-length release, the Cali quintet have announced that Graceless is the name of their upcoming ninth LP. Oh, and its title track is a beast. Suicide Silence uploaded said cut to streamers earlier today (September 11th), and it powers itself out as a sub-two-minute death sesh comprising grotesque blasts and chaotic double-kicks seemingly delivered by a Monster Energy-drinking metronome. The riffs are discordant, squealing and raw, which you could also say about Eddie Hermida’s vocals. You can check out the savage single via its accompanying music video up above. Likewise to the point, the band express in a statement that “Graceless” is “a short n sweet crusher that gives you a taste of what this record is all about.” That said, they also do a deep dive on the track via an extended, behind-the-scenes podcast discussion. Graceless follows 2023’s Remember… You Must Die, and it’s said to find the veteran acts “seasoned but unsoft,” while tapping into their “volatile fusion of death-metal violence, hardcore confrontation, and unapologetic bounce.” Per guitarist Chris Garza, the goal was to honor what had already been established by their iconic band logo. “When we choose to do that, great things follow,” he said. “We’re back to doing it exactly as we did it when we were kids: just playing heavy shit and doing it from the heart.” Graceless is due out November 20th via Century Media Records and available for pre-order in an array of collectible formats. These include an exclusive “Mineral” vinyl variant (limited to 300 copies) up now in Revolver’s shop. Suicide Silence also mount the “Reminders of Hell” North American tour in November.
