Megadeth have just debuted their fourth and final single off their most recent release live for the first time while in Turkey.

Loathe have introduced us to another stunner off their mega-anticipated next album, A Stranger to You. This time around, the band are leaning into dreamy melodies, psychedelic flourishes and a heavy, head-swirling groove for “Fangs.” The cut is the third preview from Loathe’s next album, following the Spring-delivered “Revenant” and last year’s epic “Gifted Every Strength”. Described in a press release as “hard-edged psychedelia,” the cut begins with a micro-glissant of synths before the act lunge into an immersive and taffy-thick melody. Kadeem France handles the smooth-crooned verse about ghosting some kind of emotional scene (“I did my best / Way out of line / Such is my life”), while guitarist Erik Bickerstaffe adds high-powered tenor sensitivity about the prospect of rebooting one’s situation. The song sports some knot-twisted melodies, half-time R B grooves and a bunch of earworm moments that Bickerstaffe supplies through his double-necked bass/guitar. A black-and-white performance video has been delivered to promote the track. You’re bound to savor it after pressing play up above. A Stranger to You sees release July 17th via SharpTone, though pre-orders for the album on “Turquoise White Marbled” vinyl and on CD are available now in Revolver’s shop. Loathe launch their next North American tour September 19th at the Royal Oak Music Theatre in Royal Oak, MI. Mastodon launched their latest European tour in Czechia last night (June 3rd), treating fans to a bunch of heavy favorites, as well as the live debut of their new single, “Your Ghost Again.” The show took place at Prague’s O2 Universum, and featured an opening set from U.K. metal expanders Loathe. Mastodon kicked off their headlining set with Once More ‘Round the Sun’s “Tread Lightly,” then played a few more songs before giving “Your Ghost Again” — a song reflecting on the memory of late founding guitarist Brent Hinds — its live debut. “Just yesterday, we released a new song, and it s the first song in our entire career that wasn t worked on with our friend Brent — he passed away last year and he is no longer with us,” bassist-vocalist Troy Sanders said from the stage. “So, we d like to do a new song for you guys, and we d like to dedicate it to Brent, because we miss him and we love him also.” Beyond this, the group’s 17-song set pulled from all eras of the band, including Remission’s “Mother Puncher,” a series of Leviathan and Crack the Skye classics, and all the way up to Hushed Grim songs “More Than I Could Chew” and “The Crux.” And then they closed things out with a cover of Melvins’ “The Bit.” You’ll find fan-shot footage from throughout the night up above and down below.
