With that in mind, here are the tracks released this week in throwback deathcore, heavy duets, cinematic house-metal and more that have been on heavy rotation at Revolver HQ. For your listening pleasure, we ve also compiled the songs in an ever-evolving Spotify playlist. ASAVA Valhalla ASAVA confess that they were partly inspired by the ravenous blood-rave scene in Blade while putting together “Valhalla” — the cinematic metal outfit’s latest preview of their in-the-works Mahjong LP. Indeed, they sink their teeth into a decadent late-night house rhythm for the bulk of the dread-stirring piece. But then the group bring us to the promised land with a late-song eruption of TOOL-ish vocal melodies, djent-mangled detonations and scathing death cries. Like Blade before it, it’s a summer blockbuster no matter how you slice it. Bring Me the Horizon Dehumanized “Time to fucking die.” Bring Me the Horizon go for broke with a monstrous, inhuman ferocity on this old-school deathcore driller inspired by the U.K. act’s early Count Your Blessings era. Landing like a bolt gun to the dome, it’s full of meaty metallic riffage, bloodthirsty breakdowns and lifeforce-pureeing intensity. We expect “Dehumanized” will turn any pit into an all-out abattoir. While Oli Sykes has progressively explored the more melodic side of his voice through decades of experimentalism with BMTH, it’s still a thrill to hear him slay with a nonstop barrage of growls. Dead Poet Society Roach What doesn’t kill you can only make you angrier. L.A. quartet Dead Poet Society explained that their second single of 2026 is “about those who have wronged you, taken advantage of you [or] hurt you,” and letting a resentment fester deep inside you because of their actions. The song is tense and knotted with an oddly danceable dread. Like a resilient cockroach, it skitters out of the light into the darkest recesses of your psyche. And once it invades, it’s never going to leave. I Prevail Amira Elfeky PARADISE Though I Prevail and Amira Elfeky may be looking to take you to “PARADISE,” their collaborative track makes a bunch of twists and turns before you make it to the final destination. A groove-boomed front section back-and-forths between I Prevail vocalist Eric Vanlerberghe’s mightiest roars and Elfeky’s nu-crooned subtlety (the first chorus contrasts the former’s vein-popping “FUCK” with the latter’s super-shushed “you”). The dynamic arrangement also unlocks micro-blasts, moody piano segues and a particularly scorching arpeggio solo. Odds are good they’ll perform this together on an upcoming European tour, and odds are even better that it’ll kill onstage when they do. Loathe Fangs “Fangs” grooves a little smoother than the other hard-edged previews from the U.K. outfit’s incredibly anticipated next album, A Stranger to You. No massive, djent-disruptive breakdowns. No full-fury screams out of frontman Kadeem France. And yet, the track still bangs. The stunner is full of fuzz-forward, R B-adjacent riff runs and impressively yearning vocal performances from both France and guitarist Erik Bickerstaffe. “Fangs” may be a subtler baring of teeth, but it’s still got plenty of bite. Chelsea Wolfe Death Is Not the End We ask that you let Chelsea Wolfe’s latest single wash over you in slow-motion. “Death Is Not the End” moves from a lithe and whispered acoustic intro towards a phosphorescent burble of synths, and then crashes out the speakers with a gloomgaze finale of cascading guitars — courtesy of guest player and Nine Inch Nails live guitarist Robin Finck. Wolfe’s echo-blown philosophizing waxes on transitional states and alternate planes of existence. As she moves towards an impending ninth full-length release, it’s clear that this “Death” is just the beginning of Wolfe’s next era.

Former Better Lovers vocalist Greg Puciato has announced he’s got another run of reunion dates on deck with electronic project the Black Queen, throughout which they’ll be celebrating the 10th anniversary of their debut album, 2016’s Fever Daydream. A newly announced leg of U.S. tour dates were announced today (June 23rd), and they kick off September 9th at Pioneertown, California’s Pappy Harriet’s. The 22-show trip runs through the Mid-West, hits the East Coast for a few dates, and then snaps back westward. The tour caps October 9th at Phoenix, Arizona’s aptly dubbed Final Exit venue. As previously reported, the Black Queen — co-founded by Puciato and former Nine Inch Nails/Dillinger Escape Plan tour tech Steven Ryan Alexander — linked up earlier in 2026 for their first shows since 2019. The lineup is rounded out by former Coheed and Cambria drummer Chris Pennie and Nine Inch Nails/A Perfect Circle collaborator Danny Lohner. That spring tour similarly hit both coasts, and found the act performing Fever Daydream in full. “When we announced the first tour back, after seven years of not playing, we were excited, but we couldn’t predict the reaction,” Puciato said in a statement, while reflecting on the first leg of reunion dates. “We couldn’t even predict how we’d ourselves feel once we got going. We also didn’t know at the time that we’d be joined by Danny Lohner and [drummer Chris Pennie. Once we got this new chapter up and running, and all the pieces and personnel on and offstage snowballed their way into place, and we saw and heard you again in person, this whole thing became filled with new life, with new ideas, with new musical dynamics and interpretations. “Now suddenly this is the most excited we’ve ever been for this band, and Fever Daydream, which has always been special to us, feels as new and real and tangible to us as it did when we were first building it over a decade ago. What started as a ‘looking back’ celebration of an album, has suddenly become a real time celebration of a new chapter of possibilities and memories for us personally and creatively. Puciato has teased that a third album, which would follow 2018’s Infinite Games, could be a possibility. The band have been performing new songs “Non-Consent” and “Maybe We Should” in concert. Chelsea Wolfe is giving us life today (June 23rd) by delivering not one but two new singles — her first new songs since last year’s “Mean” collaboration with HEALTH. First up is “Death is Not the End,” a transformatory track that begins with lithe piano musings and a contemplative, existentially curious and gently whispered vocal from Wolfe (“I keep hoping death is like the ocean /And I’m floating”), but erupts into a soul-exploding kaboom of mood-rock guitars. The track finds Wolfe and longtime collaborator Ben Chisolm working alongside former Nine Inch Nails guitarist Robin Finck and session drummer Matt Chamberlain (Tori Amos, Fiona Apple). A lush, ocean-set music video for the song can be found up above. “The Dark” similarly begins airily, all acoustic finger-plucking and angelically echo-blown vocals. It also delivers an explosive finale. Wolfe and Chisolm are joined on the track by drummer Stella Mozgawa (Warpaint, Courtney Barnett) and bassist Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Air, Beck). An audio player for the track is down below. Both songs tease Wolfe’s in-the-works ninth album, which will be the follow-up to 2024’s She Reaches Out to She Reaches Out to She. The as-yet-undetailed project will be issued through Loma Vista. The double-single also arrives following some cryptic socials posts connecting Wolfe to Heretic Parfum. It’s now been confirmed that the musician is part of a campaign with the scent-makers. Wolfe has teamed up with the company for GHOSTS, a collection of “five spectral fragrances.” More info on the fragrances can be found here.
