Heavy electronic band Sol Invicto have released a new single called "Clarity," featuring Deftones cofounder and guitarist Stephen Carpenter.

Sol Invicto — the long-running supergroup featuring Deftones Stephen Carpenter, Cypress Hill s Eric Bobo and producer-guitarist Richie Londres — have kicked off a new collaboration series with British drum bass artist Technical Itch. The first entry is a crushing single called Clarity, and true to its title, it offers clear insight into the project s mission. Full of frenetic jungle backbeats, oppressive electronic textures and Carpenter s nasty detuned riffage, the song is described as a dark industrial drum bass metal hybrid and an aggressive, low-end driven beast, and it more than lives up that billing. Clarity is streaming now exclusively Bandcamp, with a release on physical formats promised soon. Stay tuned for that drop, plus future new music.
